MusikTheater an der Wien Partnership

URBANAUTS - is particularly proud to enter into a partnership with the unique MusikTheater an der Wien. The theater reopened in November after a two-year renovation. This theater is one of the most beautiful and traditional theaters in Vienna. Founder and theater impresario Emanuel Schikaneder had the house built in 1801 in the spirit of Mozart. Over the past 200 years, a large number of important operas, singspiels, operettas and musicals have premiered here, including Beethoven's only opera Fidelio.

In 2006, the City of Vienna took over the opera house, which is located on the Naschmarkt in Vienna's 6th district of Mariahilf. Since then, it has been presenting contemporary and entertaining musical theater with high standards, anchored between tradition and innovation.

URBANAUTS is offering 3 x 2 tickets for the first staged performances in the newly renovated MusikTheater an der Wien including 2 nights in a raffle as a Christmas present. For the performance on January 26th, 3 x 2 tickets for the Johann Strauss operetta “Das Spitzentuch der Königin” will be available.

To mark the 200th anniversary of Johann Strauss' birth in 2025, his operetta “Das Spitzentuch der Königin” will return to the stage for its world premiere in January. The King of Waltz's operetta immediately became his greatest success to date in 1880. The obvious parody of the rebellious Crown Prince Rudolf, whose liberal ideas were causing problems for the Habsburg monarchy, was very well received by the Viennese public.
